Two tree hill! ♡

Two tree hill

Heyheyyy! The weather in the UK was absolutely gorgeous today (I'm a poet and you didn't even know it!) – first proper bit of sun we’ve seen this year! So as it was Esther's birthday on Easter Sunday, we thought we'd better spend some more time together because we're obviously best friends! We decided to go for a picnic, and I'd never been up two tree hill before, so obviously Est was determined to take me up there. It is a bit of a trek up and you have to walk through so many fields, but it's fabulous! We walked past a farm with some cows, which were so scary! They actually looked so mean. We also saw some sheep, which were obviously really cute(especially the lambs)! Whilst we were up there, we had a mini picnic with crisps, sweets and pink lemonade! We also took lots of pictures, which we are going to show you now!

Est (on the left) and me (on the right) at the top of two tree hill!:)

The view!

Blossom on the way to two tree hill.

Sheep on the way back from the hill. The mum sheep jumped up just after this was taken and Est and me jumped so much!

Some more sheep!:)

So this is the end of this blog post! Sorry it wasn't very long! Byeee:)

Recipe - Butterfly Cupcakes

Ingredients:

For the cakes:
  • Butter or margarine, softened - 113g (4oz)
  • Caster sugar - 113g (4oz)
  • Self raising flour - 113g (4oz)
  • 2 medium free range eggs
  • Vanilla essence - 1 teaspoon

  • For the Icing:
  • Butter, softened - 56g (2oz)
  • Sieved icing sugar - 113g (4oz)
  • Milk

  • Method for the cakes:

  • 1. Preheat your oven to 190 C or 375 F
  • 2. Cream your butter or margarine with sugar together until it is light and fluffy.
  • 3. Beat the eggs and add them bit by bit with spoons of sifted flour. By doing this it by bit it makes sure that the mixture does not curdle! When the egg is mixed up, gently fold in the rest of the flour.
  • 4. Add the vanilla Essense and mix in.
  • 5. Half fill the paper cases with the mixture and bake for about 15 minutes until risen and firm but not too dark.
  • 6. Leave the cakes to cool and then carefully cut a slice from the top of each cake and cut this in half (you can't have a butterfly without wings now can you?).
  • 7. Place some of the butter icing on top of the cake then arrange the 'wings' how you want them.

  • Method for the icing:

  • 1. Beat the butter in a large bowl until soft. Add half of the icing sugar and beat until smooth.
  • 2. Add the remaining icing sugar and one tablespoon of the milk and beat the mixture until creamy and smooth. Beat in the milk, if necessary, to loosen the mixture.

  • And that is all you have to do! These are absolutely delicious, they have always been one of my favourite cakes since I was very very young, I always remember making these with my sister and my nan!
  • I hope yours go okay and are as tasty as mine were! And as it's also coming up to Easter (which happens to be my birthday too ooh), these could also be made festive with mini eggs and suchlike! Below are pictures of the ones that I baked!!

Lush lip scrub♡

Hey guys! Finally, I got around to doing my first blog post! I've been quite busy lately so haven't had much time to do one.
Anyway,I thought I'd do a little review thing on the lush lip scub for my first post! This is basically just my honest opinion on it.

Firstly, the way this product works is that you put a little on your finger, rub it onto your lips and then lick it off. This should help to get rid of any flakey and dry bits on your lips, which it does. After I use this, my lips are always left more smooth and nice then they were before. I really like it especially in the winter, when my lips are more dry.

I think they cost between £5 and £6, which is really good considering they last a long time and work really well. They come in 3 flavours: Mint, popcorn and bubblegum. In my opinion, the bubblegum one is definitely the best as it tastes and smells the nicest! I think they sell these in all lush stores, so it shouldn't be too hard to find one.

Overall, I really like this product and it works really well. I hope this helped some of you and you enjoyed it. I apologise if this post was a bit short! Esther should be posting later on in the week! Bye:) ♡

Cute Spring Outfit - Est

Hey y'all! It's Est! Yes this is my first post on this blog and it's an outfit one! I apologise now if I seem awkward or whatever, I'm just a bit nervous as I've never really done anything like this before!

Today I had quite a relaxed but still an exciting and fun day! Because it is the Easter holidays, I spent the day with Jess (fellow blogger) and one of our best friends - Emily! We stayed in most of the day just hanging around not doing much, but went on a nice, cute yet muddy walk around the park in my village, and went to the shops and bought food (as usual). We laughed a lot and just enjoyed spending time together! This outfit was perfect for just having a very calm day, and the weather wasn't too cold, but it wasn't exactly warm either (typical British weather!) so it was also suited to the weather teamed with a hoodie and a body warmer on top.

The hoodie I wore was a navy blue zipped hollister one, which was around £50.

The top I wore was a burgundy peplum top, from New Look which I can't exactly remember the price of as I bought it in 2013, but didn't wear it much until now - but I love it. You can't actually buy these from Generation in New Look now but I think you can buy them elsewhere!

The jeans that I wore were my skinny high-waisted acid wash jeans, also from New Look which I bought in January for around £17.99 I think? I think that these jeans are going to have a lot of wear out of them because I literally wear them like all the time I'm just in love with them! But once again, you can't buy these exact pair in New Look because they get new stock so often, but you can get similar ones to them!

For my footwear, I wore my Nike Blazers which I bought from the youth section at Schuh (because my feet are really small) and I wear these a lot, and they can be a bit of a pain because they're suede so you can't wear them when it's pouring down with rain outside, but I spritzed mine with some waterproof spray (which you can pretty much buy anywhere) so I know that I'm safe if they're's a sudden downpour of rain when I'm out and about, but I still wouldn't ever go out wearing them if it was raining extremely hard (happens a lot in England). They are a sort of dark grey/navy blue colour, with the tick being a red which is sort of hard to explain, not burgundy but not electric red, just about in between, but I actually love them so much they're so comfy!

The necklace I wore was a very recent purchase of mine, it's very minimalistic and I love it! It's a small gold chain with a sort of V shape at the front, it's a little bit like the gold necklaces with the dark triangles around them that are in fashion at the moment, but it's just way more suttle and simple and just really really cute! I bought this from H&M on Saturday (5th April) for only £1.99 which of course is so good and affordable for something so lovely!

My body warmer is just a plain usual navy blue one which was really cheap from Primark, I can't quite remember the price but it was really cheap and it's a good body warmer - the hood is so soft!

I'm going to have to put in about my socks too because I just really like socks... I hate feet like I have a huge feet phobia, but I really really just have a love for socks I don't know. So my bestfriend got these for me for Christmas and they have pink owls and snowflakes on, they're quite wintery but I still love them they're so soft and I like socks. These are from new look too I think because I saw them in there haha!

Also if you're wondering if I have any bracelets on because it looks like it in the picture I don't, they're just hair bands because I just always have a collection of them on my wrist!

So thank you all for reading this, I hope I haven't rambled on too much and I hope you've enjoyed this, Jess should be posting something near the end of this week so check that out too;) byee!
